Hosted by the Perth Medieval and Renaissance Group and the Centre for Medieval and Early Modern Studies, and the ARC Centre for the History of Emotions, UWA.

Dr Flannery is a medievalist and author specializing in the literature and culture of late-medieval England.  Her current research focuses on the history of emotion, but she has an enduring interest in dangerous and deviant speech, including gossip, fame, blasphemy, slander, or rumour.
She is a maître assistante (lecturer) in English at the University of Lausanne, and has held posts at Queen Mary, University of London, and the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles.
