Ross Knecht

Ross Knecht was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and scholar of early modern English literature based at The University of Queensland. His research focused on Shakespeare and his contemporaries, with additional interest in the early modern discourse of the passions, the philosophy of language, and the history of pedagogy. He is currently at work on a manuscript, tentatively titled 'The Grammar Rules of Affection: Language, Passion, and Pedagogy in Early Modern English Literature', on the intersections of emotion, grammar, and schooling in literary texts.  He is an Honorary Research Fellow at The University of Western Australia, and was appointed Assistant Professor in English at Emory University, Georgia, USA in 2015.
