Jordan Lavers

Jordan Lavers doctoral thesis on ‘Schwesterstimme: Gender, Emotion and Kinship in the Correspondence of the von Günderrode Sisters’ received an Honourable Mention on the Dean’s List at The University of Western Australia. His research explores gendered expression of emotion in the practice of early modern European families as social units. His thesis focuses on the letters of the German writer Karoline von Günderrode (17801806) as a case study for an analysis of gendered emotions in the history of the early modern European family.
