Researchers
The Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for the History of Emotions brings together researchers from a broad range of disciplines to explore emotions in cultural and temporal perspective. From research on the meanings and evolution of emotions words and ideas, to how emotions are performed by and shape individuals and communities, to emotions in the world today, scholars bring methodologies and approaches from a diverse range of fields to emotions in all times and places. Our researchers are situated across the world, affiliated with our nine Australian nodes, or internationally with the Centre. This work builds on and expands our original remit to explore European emotions, 1100–1800, work that was critical in producing the history of emotions as an international field. Below is information about current and past researchers.
